I was suffering with fungal acne and I tried so many cleanser until I found Kitava MD cleanser. I am so grateful for this product. Its the only product I found that works with my skin.
This is a very expensive set of products for acne prevention, but to be honest the ones that work, all tend to be. So that spoils the surprise, in that I have just shared my opinion, that it works. It comes very nicely packaged, and well distributed, as far as how much you get. I like the cleanser a lot, and it does not leave me dry, lathers well enough and leaves me feeling quite clean. The moisturizer is also very nice and not greasy. I also very much appreciate the spot treatment, and find that I get good use out of it on it's own sometimes as a prevention for those times that I feel a pimple coming. It tends to work pretty well to mitigate the extent of the breakout. It's a very nice set that comes with literature to explain how it works, as far as the ingredients are concerned. The proof however is in how it performs, and from my experience, I am very pleased with the results.
Okay. I have been using this face wash everyday for a week now. I really like the results I am receiving and have noticed a difference in breakouts. This is the time of year that I struggle with acne because of the drastic weather changes. I have not gotten a single pimple all week. I also appreciate this only has 1% of salicylic acid. I have sensitive skin and 2% is too harsh for my skin, so face soaps I have used in the past with 2% have made my face red and flaky.
This acne wash is perfect it soothes and calms irritated skin decreasing redness and eliminating acne faster than usual. My teen daugter loves it and it doesn't take much to cleanse each time either. Just about a dime sized amount is perfect and it lathers really nicely this will last her about 2 months.
Skin cleansers have come a long way since I was a young spring chicken that looked like she just hopped out of the fryer, spots and all. So happy that part of my life is done with. Oh, wait... now I have to wear a mask everywhere I go. Guess what? More spots to contend with. That's why I still need to use a good cleanser designed for oily skin a couple times a week. From my many years of experience of what works for acne prone skin and what doesn't, I can tell that this is one of the better ones. Partly because of the particular ingredients, with salicylic acid being the most important one. I never cared much for tea tree oil since it's never done anything good for me, but I know of others who swear by the stuff. This has both.Have to admit that this cleanser doesn't smell all that great, but I definitely recognized a certain medicinal type scent from some medical powdered wash that I had to use many years ago for very problematic skin. You only smell it while you are using it, and it works very well, so it's nothing to be bothered about. It's not strong but definitely noticeable. The price is a little high, but you really don't need to be using a lot of this during a single wash. I highly recommend this cleanser for acne prone skin. Also a good cleanser for those of us who need to switch our cleansers around during the week to concentrate on deep cleaning one day while hydrating others. This cleanser deep cleans without stripping away too much oil as a lot of the cheaper and much older acne cleansers always tend to do. Recommend for both males and females of all ages, depending on need.
I've not had any trouble using this cleanser. It is mild, and that works for me. I'm not afraid to use it everyday. I know it won't dry my face too much, but I do know there is salicylic acid and other breakout-preventative ingredients in the product to give my skin a little help. I don't need a lot of help with acne or breakouts, but I do need some help.I don't understand the directions on the tube......This is a "cleansing gel", and the instructions say to "cleanse skin thoroughly before applying." Huh? Something is mixed up. So, I have just been wetting my face, squeezing out a tiny bit, and it lathers up nicely. Says it can be used 1 to 3 times a day--so that should tell you how mild it is.Fragrance is a mild tea tree.I like the cap on the tube. I am developing a dislike of tubes with twist off caps: So hard to manage when my hands are wet and dripping, or when I'm in the shower. This cap has a pop-up hinged lid. I appreciate that.
